Bob, I don't think the FAA has completely migrated the air traffic control system out of the 60's quite yet. I know that where I work they have a SMS sytstem (isn't that an old IBM system, or am I thinking of CMS?)
My company only last year retired a DEC 2020 system that they had used since the 70's . And we are considered a leading edge technology company. Actually the leading edge is the product, the supporting infrastructure of many companies is sometimes still quite old in many companies.
